Overview: As a family of four — we’ve decided to take a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life to focus on what really matters. Between work, school, and the daily routine, we felt like we were losing touch with ourselves and each other. So, we made the bold decision to set sail on a year long adventure to find some clarity and rediscover who we are as a family.
Purpose: We’re not chasing any particular destination; instead, we’re chasing the experience of slowing down, living in the moment, and getting back to the basics. This journey is about personal growth for all of us, finding out what truly makes us happy, focusing on new ways of learning for the girls, and reconnecting as a family without the distractions of modern life.
Highlights:
- Exploration: We’re visiting coastal towns and remote islands, soaking in different cultures, and learning to appreciate the natural beauty around us.
- Bonding: Without the usual distractions, we’re finding time for conversations, creating new family traditions, and simply enjoying being together.
- Personal Growth: Each of us is discovering new things about ourselves—what we love, what we’re passionate about, and how we want to live our lives when we return. We are focusing on “learning by doing” as well as following a homeschool program for the girls to change things up.
This time is a chance for us to reset, recharge, and come back with a stronger sense of who we are, both individually and as a family.
